Swavalambi Khadi Mahila Samriddhi Foundation

The Swavalambi Khadi Mahila Samriddhi Foundation is a women-led non-profit organization dedicated to empowering rural women through the promotion of Khadi, village industries, and sustainable livelihood initiatives. Based in Bansur, Alwar (Rajasthan), the foundation works to strengthen women’s participation in local entrepreneurship, self-employment, and traditional craft-based production systems.

Our Vision

To build a self-reliant and prosperous society by empowering women through skill development, sustainable livelihoods, and the revival of indigenous crafts and Khadi-based industries.

Our Mission

To provide skill development, vocational training, and capacity building in textile handicraft, and agri-based sectors.

To promote Khadi and eco-friendly products that generate income for rural women and artisans.

To preserve traditional Indian craftsmanship while integrating innovation and modern marketing approaches.

To encourage entrepreneurship and financial independence among women through collective enterprises and market linkages.

What We Create

Our Products & Initiatives

Our foundation promotes a range of women-crafted, eco-friendly, and traditionally inspired products that support sustainable livelihoods. From Khadi garments to herbal items, millet-based foods, and organic textiles, each product reflects rural craftsmanship, empowerment, and environmentally responsible practices.

Khadi Garments

Hand-spun and hand-woven Khadi garments crafted by rural women using traditional techniques. Each piece is breathable, durable, and carries the story of local craftsmanship and sustainable textile practice.

Herbal Products

Locally made herbal soaps, oils, and wellness products prepared using time-honoured recipes and natural ingredients. These products support women producers and promote safe, chemical-free self-care.

Millet-Based Food Items

Nutritious, millet-based foods—flours, snacks, and ready mixes—prepared by women’s groups using traditional processing methods. Healthy, sustainable, and ideal for promoting local food security and livelihoods.
